Lee Graham played Dave Wilkinson, with Lee Graham winning 79 – 67. The Dictionary Corner guest was Paul Zenon, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

After both players failed to solve the conundrum, it was solved by future series champion Jack Hurst who was in the audience.
