8 out of 10 Cats Do Countdown was broadcast on 2 January 2012, as a special episode marking Channel 4's 30th anniversary.
As part of the celebrations, Channel 4 decided to "mash-up" well-known shows as part of the celebrations.
8 out of 10 Cats regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, while Jimmy Carr was the host. Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Joe Wilkinson, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
