8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 1, Episode 2 was a special episode broadcast on 2 August 2013, as part of 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups Series 1.

8 out of 10 Cats regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with Rhod Gilbert and Miles Jupp who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Sean Lock, with the assitance of Rhod Gilbert, winning by 49 – 47 in a 9-rounder.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician, and Joe Wilkinson helped her out from round 5 onwards. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nick Helm, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

Also notably, Joe changed the numbers target in round 8 on a number of occasions. Originally, it was 155, then it was 760, 236, 169, before it was settled on 923.
