Episode Cats64, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 10, Episode 4 was a special episode broadcast on 26 August 2016, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 10.

8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with David Mitchell and Katherine Ryan who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of David Mitchell, winning by 27 – 26 in an 7-rounder and they won a Countdown stairlift.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was The Brett Domino Trio, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Interesting and notable moments from the episode are listed below:

1) During the Introduction, Katherine brought a pair of mermaid costumes as a prop which she shared with Jon and stood on the table to perform. Also, Sean brought a huge set of clothes in a container which he claimed was sorted in Alphabetical Order.

2) During the 30 seconds in Round 1, Jimmy "performed" a stunt by riding a motorbike across Susie via a ramp, to which the latter layed on the floor beside the huge circle denoting the centre of the studio.

3) In Round 2, David was not asked to show his solution despite getting the same answer as Sean and Katherine. However, it can be assumed it was identical to both their solutions.

4) In Round 3, Rachel accidentally dropped the first consonant which led to initial confusion about whether the letter was a M or a W.

5) During the 30 seconds in Round 6, Jimmy "made" a model castle with a liftable gate and a cannon which shot out small black balls and after all the declarations, threw the model behind him.

NOTE 1: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

NOTE 2: During the conundrum, Katherine gave the answer claptires ☓ after the clock stopped but since it was an incorrect answer, her response is recorded.
