1) In Round 1, the clock music was replaced by a dramatic symphony excerpt while Jimmy "fought" off two bandits with "swords" in the centre of the studio which resulted in them being knocked onto the floor and hastily running away shortly after.

In the conundrum round, Lee Mack inserted a banana into the clock needle in what was probably seen as an attempt to stop the clock. Also, although Sean Lock buzzed just before the clock ended, he was not able to give any answer. Instead, Lee Mack unravelled it correctly and gave the answer, thus both timings are reflected to be the same.

Episode Cats67, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 11, Episode 2 was a special episode broadcast on 1 October 2016, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 11.

Regular Sean Lock and Acting Team Captain Lee Mack were the contestants, along with Miles Jupp and Catherine Tate who were their teammates respectively, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of Miles Jupp, winning by 41 – 31 in an 7-rounder and they won a Countdown boom box.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Dr John Cooper Clarke, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Just before Round 5, all players had to compose a poem for Dr John Cooper Clarke to hear and he would choose who had the best one. He felt that Sean's poem was the best, thus five points were awarded to his team.

Interesting and notable moments from the episode are listed below:

1) In Round 1, the clock music was replaced by a dramatic symphony excerpt while Jimmy "fought" off two bandits with "swords" in the centre of the studio which resulted in them being knocked onto the floor and hastily running away shortly after.

2) In Round 2, although Miles got the same answer as Sean, he was not asked to show his solution. However, it can be assumed his solution was identical.

3) In Round 4, CECIL came up with the lowest possible target on the current set which was 101. Rachel attempted to generate a new target but was discouraged by Jimmy as he joked it was "going to be a challenge" for Miles and Catherine.

4) During the 30 seconds in Round 6, Jimmy sprayed a perfume called "Granny Magnet", which saw five grannys being attracted to him before being chased away by a fire extinguisher.

5) During the Conundrum, Lee attempted to stop the clock by inserting a banana into the clock needle but his efforts were futile.

NOTE 1: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

NOTE 2: During the Conundrum, Sean buzzed in as the last second of the clock lit up, however he was not able to give any answer. Lee then raised his hand and unravelled it correctly, thus both timings are reflected to be identical.
