The goody bag is the colloquial term for the prizes given to contestants after they have appeared on Countdown. The prizes are different depending on whether the player won a game, or even made the Series finals. The current goody bag includes:
- Countdown board game
- Countdown electronic game
- Countdown polo shirt, blue with a small white and yellow Countdown logo on it.
- Countdown coaster (drinks mat)
- Countdown mug
- Susie Dent's The Language Report, a book analysing the English language.
Also, for contestants who don't win any games:
Whereas those who win at least one game get:
- Shorter Oxford English Dictionary
- A teapot
