He is a stand-up comedian known as the host of Channel 4's Distraction, 8 out of 10 Cats and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
He appeared as a guest on the main series of Countdown in 2004.
In his role as the presenter of what is colloquially known as "Catsdown", he has presented all but one episode of the show's run, which was a women's suffrage special, and as such he was replaced by Katherine Ryan.
