Joe Lycett was a guest on Countdown, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and a contestant on the latter show. He is a stand-up comedian, usually seen on shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats.
He provided one of the most famous anecdotes in the show's history, in 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 7, Episode 14 where he told a story about how he persuaded a local council to rescind a parking fine. The anecdote went viral on social media, such as Twitter and Youtube.
In 2020, his name was changed by deed poll to Hugo Boss as a manner of protest against the actions of the clothing company with the same name; in part a publicity stunt for his consumer advice program, Joe Lycett's Got Your Back. He changed his name back to Joe Lycett later that year - he did not appear on either Countdown or 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown using this name.
