Welcome!

Welcome to The Countdown Wiki, a community project to build an encyclopaedia about Channel 4 television programme Countdown.

To see what's changed since your last visit, check out Recent Changes.

Everyone is welcome to contribute! To edit an existing page, just click the edit link at the top of the page you want to edit. To create a new page, enter its name into the search box on the left and click "Go". If the page does not already exist, you will be given the option to create it. If you are not familiar with the wiki system, don't worry about formatting and syntax - just enter the text you want and other people will polish it for you. Be bold in your editing - any mistakes you make can be easily undone, and we have very broad concept of Countdown relevance. If you want to practise editing, take a look at the sandbox.

There is no need to create an account, but it only takes a few moments and some features are easier to use if you log in. You can create an account here.

Articles

You can also see the full list of articles, or check our main categories for a more organised view:-

Most Wanted Articles

Our priorities for article creation, in order:-

  1. All finalists, priority being given to-
  2. All who participated in the supreme championship
  3. All who have participated in a Championship of Champions (starting with the most recent)
  4. All octochamps and viscounts
  5. 15-round finalists
  6. 9-round finalists
  7. Other heavily-linked pages (now mainly guests and lexicographers).

Ben and Soo are working on adding the skeleton page for every episode. By all means expand them if you have more details, and feel free to create episode pages for anything we haven't got to yet.
