Philip Hardingham was a contestant in Series 14. He was a factory worker and horse racing devotee from Cockermouth, Cumbria.

Hardingham is one of only two contestants known to have selected 8 consonants and 1 vowel in a letters game (the other being Matthew Francis of Series 12). He did this twice, in rounds 3 and 6 of his only game.

In 1988, he would go into appear on the game shows Going for Gold and Pass The Buck .
