Ricky Tomlinson is a guest on Countdown. They once arranged for a Ricky Tomlinson lookalike to appear as a contestant while the real Ricky Tomlinson sat in Dictionary Corner. Lordy, what larks! In 2017, he accused Richard Whiteley of being a spy, for some reason, which Kathryn Apanowicz described as a "load of tripe". So why he agreed to be on Countdown whilst Carol Vorderman was still on the show is anybody's guess.
