Steven Moir scored a total of 763 points in his octochamp run, leaving him as #5 seed in the finals of Series 52. Steven first appeared on 3rd November 2004, facing 5-time winner Rita Willmott. He found himself 9 points behind going into the conundrum, but unscrambling T R I E D T O F U into FORTITUDE in just one second saw Steven take the champion's chair.
For the quarter finals, he was given a match against John Hunt. Steven had the advantage over the first 5 rounds, but after the first break John was able to pull away leaving the conundrum academic. Steven was able to pick up the 10 points to make the final scoreline a more respectable 85-67.
