Template talk:Epcount

From Countdown

I think that the "incomplete recaps" number on this page may be wrong as it is adding together "partial recaps", "recaps with missing conundrum scrambles" and "recaps with missing numbers solutions", and some pages include two or three of these categories, so they're being counted multiple times and they shouldn't be (i.e. there should only be one of these categories per page). I've looked through these categories and I think the following should be changed:

Does this look correct?

Also, for episodes 80 (Rounds 6 and 10), 98 (Round 8), 109 (Round 8), 112 (Round 4), 117 (Round 8), 118 (Round 8) and 126 (Round 4), there's nothing from the arithmeticians, so did they not get anything, or is that unknown? TobyMcDonald 15:53, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

  1. It may not be correct but you have to remember it is a very crude model and is single-purpose, i.e. to keep running counters up to date (see Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Epcount). Feel free to make any edits you wish to the formulae.
  2. The arithmeticians' solutions are unknown but for future reference double check with Mike Brown for anything Series 6 or before, as he did not publish his notes and transcribed them himself.
  3. Recaps with missing numbers solutions is automatic if there is a ? in the solutions box, so yes there may be some double entry.
