William Gladstone Stewart was a veteran TV producer and question-master, most famous for hosting the quiz show Fifteen to One, which at one time filled Countdown's regular slot between series, and later appeared before Countdown, making up a "quiz hour" on Channel 4 on weekday afternoons.

He presented the retrospective programme Countdown: The 2000th Edition (not to be confused with the actual Episode 2000, which was a regular show) broadcast on 23 May 1997, and chaired the 1997 Countdown Christmas special, a match between Richard Whiteley and Carol Vorderman. He died in September 2017.
