Episode 191 was broadcast on 23 October 1984, and was the grand final of Championship of Champions I.

Joyce Cansfield played Mark Nyman, with Mark Nyman winning 65 – 34. The Dictionary Corner guests were Ned Sherrin and Nigel Rees (although Rees only appeared for the presentation at the end of the programme), and the lexicographer was Yvonne Warburton.

NOTE: This final was only 30 minutes and played to the 9 round format, unlike all other finals at the time, which were extended to 45 minutes and played to the 14 round format.
