Quinn Bartlett was an octochamp and Semi-finalist in Series 86. He was a professional poker player from Devon.

On his debut episode against five-time winner Sue Telfer, Bartlett found three nine-letter words to win with 124 points. He added another five nines to his tally over the course of his unbeaten preliminary run, which involved two crucial conundrums. In his eighth show, he rebounded from 12 points behind, winning the final letters game and the final numbers game to lead by four points by the crucial conundrum ITHARDENS. Bartlett buzzed in first, but did not give an answer; however, his opponent did not buzz in, allowing Bartlett to secure octochampdom with 846 points. He is the fourth octochamp in Countdown history, after Jack Worsley, James Burley and Adam Latchford, whose run has spanned two presenters.

Bartlett returned for the finals as the third seed, where he faced off against Daren Barnes in the third quarter-final. Despite falling behind early on with dilutor ☓ being disallowed, a highly impressive numbers performance helped Bartlett eventually establish an unassailable lead before the final numbers game. He finished off by unscrambling REBELINIT to LIBERTINE to record his seventh century, max 10 rounds, and advance to the semi-finals, where he faced Edward Byrne.

In the second semi-final both players matched each other early on, but Ed started to pull away with spots like DEPOSED in Round 8, which also saw an unfortunate miss from Quinn with godspeed ☓ being disallowed. He played valiantly after that with spots like RIMSTONE in Round 11 and RESTROOM in Round 13, but was not able to catch up to Ed's highly impressive performance. After a difficult conundrum LARGEATOM was left unsolved by both players, it meant Quinn suffered his only defeat, finishing with a score of 73 from his last match, and a final overall points total of 1,027 points, averaging just under 103 a game.
