The same model eventually served Vic another glass of wine. However, this also caused Sean to return to the dressing room after the end of Round 3 to change out of his dirtied shirt.

Episode Cats90, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 14, Episode 4 was a special episode broadcast on 15 September 2017, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 14.

Regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with Vic Reeves and Sara Pascoe who were their teammates respectively, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Jon Richardson, with the assistance of Sara Pascoe, winning by 49 – 29 in an 8-rounder and they won a Countdown sandpit.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was David O'Doherty, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Interesting and notable moments from the episode are listed below:

1) During the Introduction, Sara dressed up similarly to Jon with identical clothing except she wore a thick beard when Jon had only a thin one. She would dress up like this for the remainder of the show.

2) Jon only appeared halfway through the letters selection in Round 1, claiming he had gone off to chase the person who was nominated the most on the "Wankr" App out of the building when he was shovelled out because of the App itself. Also, during the 30 seconds in the same round, Jimmy "read" into Susie and Rachel's mind, with Susie thinking that he was an arsehole and regretting Jon was married and Rachel attempting to cheat in Round 2 using a calculator.

3) In Round 2, Jon was not asked to show his solution to Sean that his method was exactly identical.

4) During the 30 seconds in Round 3, Jimmy made wine with the assistance of a helper crushing grapes for him. Also, while Fabio, the show's permanent model served wine to Sean, the glass of wine meant for Vic accidentally spilled on him, resulting in laugther and applause from the audience and Jimmy remarking the model was a "fucking idiot" (He did serve another glass of wine to Vic eventually). This caused Sean to return to the dressing room after the end of Round 3 to change out of his dirtied shirt.

5) During the 30 seconds in Round 7, the lighting was changed to pink to match the "Crucial Conundrum" setting used in the normal version and the clock music was replaced by various opera singers singing an Italian Opera piece in the centre of the studio.

NOTE 1: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

NOTE 2: In Round 3, Sean initially declared he had a six-letter word. However, after his teammate, Vic who was not playing attempted to betray him by "selling" a seven-letter to Sara, he saw Vic's word, declared it and won the round. There was also an out-take in Round 5 where Jon spilled yogurt onto his shirt, which was later featured in 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 14, Episode 6.

NOTE 3: In Round 7, Vic's offering of REMAIL should have been allowed as it is in the ODO. However, the scores would not have been affected as everyone else had a six-letter word.
