Alan Cannon was a contestant in Series 35. He was a Civil Servant from Cardiff. Prior to his appearances on Countdown in April 1997, Alan had previously appeared on Fifteen-To-One in May 1996. He was a also keen Scrabble player. Unfortunately, he died of cancer in 1999 at age 58.
