Chris Hawkins was a finalist in Series 28, and was a participant in the 30th Birthday Championship.

He returned to the Countdown world 13 years later, for the unofficial COLIN 2007 tournament.

He is also a Scrabble Expert.

He returned to Countdown in 2013, as one of 41 contestants taking part in the 30th Birthday Championship. He received a bye to the first round, and won his first game against Series 38 quarter-finalist Jill Bright by a score of 95 – 51, before losing to the Series 54 champion, Conor Travers, who put in a perfect performance.
