Countdown in Huddersfield

Template:Seealso Countdown in Huddersfield, or COHUD as it is more commonly known, is the name of an annual Countdown tournament held in the town of Huddersfield. It began in 2012, and is co-organized by Jeff Clayton, who in the past had organised the Leicester and Chester tournaments & James Robinson.

2012

The 2012 tournament, COHUD, took place on Saturday 30th June. It was held at the Galpharm Stadium, the home of Huddersfield Town. 30 contestants took part, and the winner was the Series 60 champion, Kirk Bevins, who beat Series 64 contestant, Dan McColm 98 – 79 in the final.

2013

The 2013 tournament, COHUD2, took place on Saturday 6th July. It was held at the John Smith's Stadium (different sponsor, same stadium), the home of Huddersfield Town. 28 contestants took part, and the winner, yet again, was the Series 60 champion, Kirk Bevins, who beat Series 69 octochamp, Glen Webb 87 – 69 in the final.
