Episode 445 was broadcast on 13 October 1986, and was a special 'Champion of Champion of Champions' match between the winner of Championship of Champions I and Championship of Champions II. It was the first ever special episode.
Clive Freedman played Mark Nyman, with Mark Nyman winning 76 – 67. The Dictionary Corner guests were Gyles Brandreth and Bill Tidy, and the lexicographer was Catherine Clarke.
