Episode S29 was broadcast on 16 August 2010, as a special episode, and was a deciding match.

Charlie Reams played Junaid Mubeen, with Charlie Reams winning 87 – 67. The Dictionary Corner guest was Gary Osborne, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Reams and Mubeen had previously met twice, in the grand final of Series 59 and the second quarter-final of Championship of Champions XIII. Mubeen won the first and Reams won the second.

As with Episode S26, the numbers games for this episode were unusual in that arithmetician Rachel Riley chose how many large numbers would be available, and the large numbers were not the usual four (25, 50, 75 and 100). Instead they were 12 and 37, previously seen in Episode S26, as well as 62 and 87.
