NOTE 1: This was the first known episode in which it was possible to make a nine-letter word in two rounds, and also the first time that it was possible to make a nine-letter word in the opening round. The maximum possible score of 77 is the highest recorded under the old rules, under which a nine-letter word was only worth ten points rather than the modern day of eighteen.
NOTE 2: Round 2 is the first known round in history to have featured two Zs, as it happened again in Round 1 of 19 July 1989. And the game as a whole contained three Zs, an extremely rare occurrence.
