Pasha Kovalev is a guest on Countdown. He is a professional ballroom and Latin dancer who was born in Russia and formerly resided in New York City. He was a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing from 2011 to 2018. Kovalev partnered Rachel Riley on the eleventh series of Strictly, finishing in 11th place. In the following series, he won the Glitterball trophy partnering Caroline Flack. In other series, he has also partnered Carol Kirkwood and Naga Munchetty.

He was in a relationship with Rachel Riley since 2014, and then got married to her on 30 June 2019. He appeared in Episode 7294 and Episode 7577 alongside his and Riley's first daughter of Maven, and in Episode 7718 alongside their second daughter of Noa.
