Pauline McLynn is a guest on Countdown. She is an Irish actress and author, perhaps best known for starring in Father Ted as Mrs Doyle.
She has also played Libby Croker in Shameless, Tip Haddem in Jam & Jerusalem and Yvonne Cotton in EastEnders. She presently plays the somewhat villainous role of Maggie Driscoll in Coronation Street, having started the role in 2025.
