Baroness Floella Benjamin is a presenter on Countdown, who guest-hosted the week of episodes broadcast on the show’s 40th anniversary. Benjamin is best known as a presenter of children's programmes such as Play School and Play Away. She was also introduced to the House of Lords in 2010, after the Liberal Democrats nominated her as a life peer.

Benjamin is the only presenter of standard episodes of Countdown to have never given the viewers a Teatime Teaser, since during her five episodes, the Teasers were replaced by clips of vintage episodes of the show.
