Les Dennis is a guest (and was a substitute presenter) on Countdown. He is a comedian, all-round national treasure, actor and TV presenter. He was famous for presenting Family Fortunes for fifteen years.
He hosted eight shows of Series 86, after Colin Murray tested positive for COVID-19. And then from 2 February to 6 February 2026, he once again stood in for Murray due to Murray having back pain issues.
On 18 October 2017, Dennis was paid tribute to on Countdown with the conundrum scramble of LLESDENYS in which he was not involved.
