Revision as of 11:17, 16 December 2008
Countdown is broadcast by Channel 4 at 15:25 on Mondays to Fridays most weeks throughout the year. The usual exceptions are during public holidays, when times might vary, and during the Christmas / New Year break and the Cheltenham Festival and Glorious Goodwood race weeks when the programme is suspended.
In addition to all of the +1 channels, most programmes are repeated on three occasions:
- on More4 at around 03:00 on the night immediately following the first transmission
- on Channel 4 at around 05:15 in the early morning, two and half days after the first transmission
- on S4C (terrestrial channel only) at 14:15 on Monday to Friday afternoons
More4 and the early morning Channel 4 repeat times vary slightly from day to day.
As Series 59 finished, S4C was seven programmes behind. Therefore S4C is showing the finals of Series 59, starting on Monday 15th December, taking a break on 22nd, thus showing the series 59 grand final on Christmas Eve.
In addition, programmes can be watched using 4oD, Channel 4's on-demand service, at any time up to thirty days after the first transmission.
