8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 22 is the current series of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown that began on 24 December 2021 with a Christmas special. This was the first series to be broadcast since the death of Team Captain Sean Lock in mid-August. An image of him on the show with an accompanying caption acknowledged this during the aforementioned episode.
Notably, plexiglass separating both celebrities within a team have been removed. However, the one in Dictionary Corner has been retained to due to insufficient space for safe distancing.
