IMO we certainly should apply the same notation to conundrums as to other rounds – incorrect solutions lowercased and with the ☓. It puzzled me for a moment to find an eight-letter 'solution' with no notation to indicate that it was wrong. -- [[User:Smjg|Smjg]] 16:43, 18 September 2007 (BST) | IMO we certainly should apply the same notation to conundrums as to other rounds – incorrect solutions lowercased and with the ☓. You mentioned x, / and *. Fixing these automatically is a good idea. Don't forget changing - to − as well. It would also be nice to clean up the placement of spaces in the numbers solutions – a space either side of an operator and no space just inside a bracket seems to be the best scheme. And what should we do with nested brackets? (()) or [()]? Obviously we should avoid unnecessary brackets, except possibly where they would benefit people who don't understand operator precedence rules.
