Hello, I am Daaniyal Ali.
I appeared on Countdown in September 2021 where I became famous for: telling Anne Robinson that “she was too old to go clubbing”, and showing my superpower in working out which day of the week a certain calendar date landed on. I lost to the eventual series winner, Ahmed Mohamed, who went on to become the sixteenth Championship of Champions winner and the next grand slam winner following Zarte Siempre in 2019.
At the end of my fifth and final appearance, Rachel Riley addressed the viewers that “if anyone has Classic Countdown editions from 1982, I would like them to send them to me” because it will make me feel very happy. I also wouldn’t mind being sent editions from other years pre-2019.
PS: When I mentioned about ‘clubbing’, that term was misconstrued for the meaning that I don’t actually go nightclubbing; I was going to certain social clubs to interact with people and do activities (until I departed from them before my 18th birthday).
