Satbir Gupta was a semi-finalist from series 32. Satbir first appeared on 8 August 1996, beating Craig Douglas, and quickly racked up a further seven wins to become an octochamp and #1 seed for the series. Satbir comfortably beat Stephen Paver in the quarter-finals, before losing to Dennis Fearon in the semi-finals following a sudden-death conundrum. Satbir returned a week later for Championship of Champions VIII, losing in the first round to Darren Shacklady.
