Nick's declaration of TOWELING in round 6 should have been allowed as American spellings of words were still allowed back in those days.
I presume you actually checked, not just assumed, that TOWELING was in the dictionary in use at the time. Though I'm made to wonder how the mistake was made - did DC just leap to the conclusion "it's double l", without checking to see if any alternative spelling exists? — Stewart (talk) 13:27, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
