Janet Parton

Janet Parton was a contestant in Series 89. She was originally from Swansea but now lives in nearby Neath, Port Talbot, in South Wales. Her son Ian was the co-founder, and current frontman of the indie-rock band The Go! Team.
Notably, she celebrated her 79th Birthday on her final appearance, with the Countdown staff preparing a bouquet of flowers, chocolate and a card for her.
