This is strange. It's always seemed silly to me that a word is disallowed if the contestant misspelled it, even if the correct spelling is there and has the declared number of letters, given that they don't always ask for the spelling. But what exactly happened here?
- He was actually asked to spell the word on this occasion, because either Richard or DC considered it to be a commonly misspelled word?
- He gave the spelling of his own accord, at what should have been his own expense?
- The original recap writer assumed he declared TASSLE because it came out in the subtitles that way?
- The original recap writer just misspelled it?
