Talk:Clive Freedman (Series 6)

From Countdown

Requested move to Clive Freedman (Series 7)

That the title of Clive Freedman's wikipage names him as a Series 6 contestant just because he played one heat game in Series 6 has always bugged me. The title of a page should be based on the series in which a person was most successful, not the one in which they happened to debut. I realise that, if the move were made, we might be changing an "established convention", but I don't believe this convention is enforced anywhere else. JohnnyCanuck 15:10, 20 February 2016 (GMT)

As a second example, if a new, unrelated non-Apterite named Kirk Bevins happened to play on Countdown next week, we would need to disambiguate the two Kirk Bevinses by listing series along with them. According to the current convention, the Series 60 champion's page would need to be titled "Kirk Bevins (Series 51)", which is totally misleading. JohnnyCanuck 14:32, 5 March 2016 (GMT)
It sounds a bit odd, Johnny, I know, but... I would prefer Kirk S51 if that happened, personally. The Doctor 01:58, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

The page move was made by you-know-who... so I personally would like this changed back. But that's my view. The Doctor 19:57, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

I agree. Let's move.--Launchballer 22:37, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
