Not (yet) appeared on [[Countdown]], but has attended four of the [[COLIN]] events and both [[CONOT]] tournaments.  Sequence of wins started as an oscillating sequence 1 in [[COLIN 2007]], 2 in [[COLIN 2008]], 1 in [[CONOT 2008]], 2 in [[COLIN 2009]], 1 in [[CONOT 2009]], and then finally broke the pattern with 3 in [[COLIN 2010]].  Now wondering whether this is in indication of a very slow upward trend, or perhaps the amplitude of the oscillations is slowly increasing, thereby suggestion zero wins at the next Co-event.

Howard Somerset is left-handed, which possible explains his tendency to spell his name backwards on occasion.

An old git, who, according to his wife, spends far too much time in front of his computer doing totally irrelevant things, rather than doing useful things around the house. He, on the other hand, has a diametrically opposite view; he has to spend far too much time doing irrelevant things around the house, leaving far too little time to do those very important things at his computer.

Not (yet) appeared on Countdown, but has attended four of the COLIN events and both CONOT tournaments. Sequence of wins started as an oscillating sequence 1 in COLIN 2007, 2 in COLIN 2008, 1 in CONOT 2008, 2 in COLIN 2009, 1 in CONOT 2009, and then finally broke the pattern with 3 in COLIN 2010. Now wondering whether this is in indication of a very slow upward trend, or perhaps the amplitude of the oscillations is slowly increasing, thereby suggestion zero wins at the next Co-event.

Finally appeared on the programme on 26 April 2010, when from his position in the audience, he answered the conundrum.
