Christine White, a maths examination marker from Sittingbourne in Kent, was the runner-up of Series 37.
She beat Ruth Collier in her first appearance and racked up 3 more wins before losing at the hands of Ricky Zinger. Had Christine won that game, her next opponent would have been her husband, Ledger. Returning for the finals stage as #4 seed, she beat Mark Wyndham-Jones in the quarter-final and Kate Surtees in the semi-final before losing the final to Ray McPhie after neither player managed to unscramble the crucial conundrum. Christine returned the following week for Championship of Champions IX, but lost in the first round to eventual winner Natascha Kearsey.
