8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 4 was a series of seven special episodes that began on 6 June 2014 and ended on 18 July 2014.

While Countdown officially switched dictionaries from OED3 to ODO with the start of Series 71 since 30 June 2014, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown did not follow suit and continues to use OED3 as of 2018. However, in view of the change, all references have been taken with the latter dictionary starting with Episode 5 from this Series onwards.

Fabio, the show's long-time permanent male model, made his first debut on the show in Episode 2. Also, in Episode 3, for the first time in the show's history, more than nine letters were used in a Round as well.
