Episode 3278 was broadcast on 27 June 2002, and was a semi-final of Series 47.
Kevin Thurlow played Tom Hargreaves, with Tom Hargreaves winning 109 - 93. The Dictionary Corner guest was Richard Digance, and the lexicographer was Damian Eadie.
Tom only missed two maximums on the letters, both of which Dictionary Corner failed to find; GASOLENE in round 12 and YAHRZEIT in round 13. Other than those two rounds and the conundrum, Tom achieved a perfect score.
