Countdown Masters Series 2

Countdown Masters Series 2 ran from April 1990 to March 1991. It was won by Andrew Fisher. From the third week, the scheduled broadcast time was moved again, to 9:19 am.

Several episodes in Masters Series 2 were played over only four days instead of the usual five, mainly as a result of games not being broadcast on Christmas, Easter and other holidays. The system of using the highest score of the series to determine the winner of the dictionaries was maintained, however, despite players in the four-day episodes being at a marked disadvantage for obtaining it.
