Philip "Phil" Makepeace (born 9 May 1989) was a contestant in Series 57.

Either side of losing at the first attempt to 'Juggling James' Hurrell in June 2007, Makepeace competed in the inaugural CORED tournament (scoring 2/5) and CoBris, where he finished in a tie for 5th on 3/5 which included a 68 – 48 victory over reigning TV series champion Nick Wainwright.

Later, he proved that men can indeed multitask when he competed in Co:Lon 2010 whilst simultaneously sending Twitter feeds throughout the day.

He appeared on the game show Take on the Twisters in 2013.

Makepeace was the scorer of Surrey County Cricket Club between 2018 and 2020 (a job that Rhys Benjamin also expressed interest in), and has spent many a day watching cricket.
