Sally Hutchings (1965–2003) was a contestant in Series 39. She was a mature student from Ashford. Sadly, she passed away aged 38 in 2003.
Her late father, Peter, appeared as a contestant in the following series, and they both returned to play each other in a special episode, which was broadcast in 2004; she, Sean Lock and Richard Whiteley are the only two people to appear posthumously in a first-broadcast episode.
