Countdown in Blackpool
Countdown in Blackpool is a Countdown tournament held in the seaside resort of Blackpool. There have been six tournaments to date. It is currently fronted by Bradley Horrocks, who took over from original host Mark Mills in 2023.
Events
2018
The inaugural Blackpool tournament took place on 13 October 2018 as the thirteenth and final round of the 2018 FOCAL season, and consisted of 24 attendees. It was won by Jack Worsley.
2019
The second Blackpool tournament took place on 12 October 2019 as the thirteenth round of the 2019 FOCAL season, and consisted of 27 attendees. It was won by Callum Todd.
2021
The third Blackpool tournament took place on 14 August 2021 as the rescheduled sixth round of the 2020–22 FOCAL season, and consisted of 55 attendees. It was won by Bradley Horrocks.
2022
The fourth Blackpool tournament — the last to be presented by Mark Mills — took place on 10 September 2022 as the seventeenth round of the 2020–22 FOCAL season, and consisted of 35 attendees. It was won by Tom Carey.
2023
The fifth Blackpool tournament — the first to be presented by debut host Bradley Horrocks — took place on 16 September 2023 as the fourteenth round of the 2023 FOCAL season, and consisted of 33 attendees. It was won by Callum Todd.
2024
The fifth Blackpool tournament will take place on 14 September 2024 as the fourteenth round of the 2024 FOCAL season.
