Episode 7887
From Countdown
Episode 7887 was broadcast on 7 November 2022, as part of Series 86.
Rob O'Hanrahan played Neil Mackay, with Neil Mackay winning 99 – 71. The Dictionary Corner guest was Dan Walker, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
This was the first of the five episodes presented by guest host Richard Coles. Teatime teasers also returned in this episode, after being replaced by programme anecdotes to commemorate 40 years of Countdown during the previous week.
The solution to the conundrum was a knowing reference to the pop duo that Coles was a part of in the 1980s.
