He narrowly missed out on qualifying for the series quarter finals by just 3 points, as the #9 seed for the series. However, in fact, he should have been invited back for the quarter finals as #8 seed, as the actual #8 seed, Stan Arnott, only qualified ahead of him because of a mistake on a numbers game in Arnott's second appearance on the show going unnoticed. Had this error been spotted, then Arnott would have finished 7 points behind Morrison in the seedings rather than 3 points ahead.
