Katharine Merry is a guest on Countdown. She is a former Team GB Olympic sprinter who won bronze in the 400 metres at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Post the Olympics she has spent many years working for the BBC, Channel 4, and other broadcasters as a sports commentator, as well as being a regular on the former BBC show A Question of Sport.
