Owen Carroll
Owen Carroll was a contestant in Series 94. He was from County Wicklow in eastern Ireland and is also an experienced Apterite, having joined the site in 2019.

Carroll kicked off with a very convincing win against three-time winner Ellen; Owen actually logged the highest score of the series with 134, in no small part thanks to the nine-letter-word spots of RELOADING and FOUNTAINS, and with his spotting of the very difficult conundrum ELABORATE. He logged three more wins with two further centuries, before his run was brought to an abrupt end by returnee Jamie. Regardless, he finished on an impressive 549 points from only five appearances to take the sixth seed, but only time will tell if that is enough to qualify for the end-of-series finals.

Three months before his television debut, Carroll was a contestant in ZoomDown Series 6. He played against Mike Lee in the Round of 64 stage of the tournament, losing the game with a respectable score of 103 to Mike's 118.
