Steven Grady was a contestant in Series 84. He was a Maths Teacher and Apterite from Edinburgh.

After his initial television appearance, he became a finalist and tetrachamp in ZoomDown Series 3, and contestant in ZoomDown Series 5, missing out on tetrachampdom in the latter series. Regardless, he still qualified for the end-of-series finals, where he unexpectedly beat No. 1 seed Elliott Mellor in his quarter-final; the latter having himself beaten the No. 1 seed Dan McColm in the ZoomDown Series 1 knockout rounds. A very close game against No. 5 seed Gabriel Thallon followed, where Steven lost by a single point after neither player turned the fiendish conundrum scramble OUTOILING into OLINGUITO.
He returned once again for ZoomDown Series 6, where after beating Alan O'Sullivan by a hefty 42 points, he was drawn once against against Gabriel, where the match was close early on. However, the latter struck gold with NUTRIFIED which eventually led to an unassailable gap. But Grady did take some points in the final numbers round when he cracked a six-small selection that Gabriel missed.
