Hyperlock is a variant of Countdown played on Apterous. It is based on Lockdown with a similar premise, however it is based on Hyper instead of the normal variant. It was introduced on Apterous on 20 March 2011.
Letters rounds
This is played to Hyper rules, however the first, sixth and twelfth letters all must be used in the word declared.
Numbers rounds
This is also played to Hyper rules, however the first number selected (the last reading from left to right) must be used in the solution. Note that the solution is still valid even if the red number leads to a "dead end"; for example, if 2 were the red number and 4500 the target, 6 − 2 = 4, 3 × 10 × 150 = 4500 would be a valid solution.
Conundrums
13 letters are shown, from which one 12-letter word is available. This word is the answer.
